ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN COLLECTION OF HUMAN, ANIMALS AND PLANTS CELL CULTURES

     This issue describes activity of the Russian Cell Culture Collection (RCCC) that has already worked for more then 30 years, since 1978. The main idea of the work was establishment and development of the national collection of human, animals and plants cell cultures aimed at establishment, collecting, characterization and preservation of the type cell lines corresponding to the unified international requirements, as well as providing organizations in Russia and abroad with the collection cell material. Description of the Collection's activity presented in this issue contains historical information on establishment and development of the Collection and the information about structure, the work performing, and the main achievements of the Collection. The activity of the Collection is evaluated in terms of novelty of the results of the work, a scale of its practical fulfillment, social and economic value for the state, comparison with the foreign analogs and projects for the further development of the Collection.
     Supplement contains examples of the forms characterizing the collecting human, animals and plants cell lines in accord with international requirements; lists of organizations that deposit the cell lines and hybridomas; lists of the cell lines and hybridomas deposited in the Collection of cell cultures of vertebrates (Institute of Cytology RAS) due to application for a patent; list of the main organizations that purchase specimens of cell lines from the Russian cell culture collection.



Instructions for Authors

     The paper should not exceed 10 manuscript pages. The manuscript is to be accompanied by recommendation addressed to the Editorial Board of the Information Bulletin from the institution in which the work has been carried out. The paper should contain a brief resume, with the tittle of the work, names of the authors, institution and city.
     The manuscript is to be accompanied by its electron variant: one file in MS Word for Windows. The file should have the font Arial Narrow, 13; interline difference - 1.5; the indented line - 0.5 cm; the upper margin - 2.5 cm, other margins - 2.1 cm each. The file may be e-mailed to the address of the Editorial Board.
